Navigating the New Google
For the opening of Google's first permanent brick-and-mortar store, Qulture created a life-sized, walkable version of Google Maps in the Meatpacking District of New York City. To spark curiosity and interaction among passersby, the installation recreated the familiar icons of the Google Maps app using oversized, helium-filled balloons as directional blue dots, culminating in an attention-grabbing red pin marking the entrance to the new Google store.
This experiential activation allowed us to bring Google's digital universe into the physical world in an engaging, real-world context — capturing the brand's helpful, approachable essence while driving foot traffic to the highly anticipated retail destination.
